What is a Milling Machine / Spline?
A milling machine is a type of machine tool used in industrial machining. The operating principle of milling involves shaping (drilling, surface processing, gear hobbing, etc.) by removing material from a workpiece using a cutting tool that rotates around its own axis. Today, production can be carried out fully automatically with the help of computers and specialized software (CAD-CAM). In terms of power transmission components, splines are parts that facilitate power flow and are designed for easy assembly and disassembly.
What is a Female Spline? Female splines are used in Cement Conveyors (screw conveyors). These are products with internal teeth (splines). They can be manufactured in international standard sizes or custom dimensions for use in all types of specialized conveyors. These splines ensure that Cement Conveyors, as well as U and V-type conveyors, are more easily detachable. In older methods, double bolts were used instead of splines; however, those bolts often caused the pipe to tear. As an alternative, splined systems extend the service life of the machine.
