Big-Bag Filling Systems

Big-Bag Unloading Systems are specifically designed to discharge various products from different types of Big-Bags. These systems eliminate dust emissions, product loss, and product contamination. The machines in this range can be used to unload returnable or non-returnable bags, as well as bags with or without liners (an additional inner layer).

Big-bag filling systems are systems that perform the process of filling powder and granular materials from silos or bunkers into big-bag sacks at specific weights. This process is established within an automated framework. These systems offer fast, efficient filling and high-precision weighing capabilities.

Big-bag filling systems are designed to fill between 500–2000 kg. Depending on the packaging system, the filling capacity ranges from 5 to 70 tons/hour. The packaging system can also be designed as an automatic filling unit that can be integrated with conveyors.

Big-bag filling units can be manufactured with manual control or with weighing control (loadcell). In weighing-controlled units, the operator can enter the weight value via a touch screen on the automation panel. The automation system, which receives signals from the scale located at the bottom of the big-bag, automatically cuts off the material flow when the designated weight is reached, thus completing the filling process. These operations are managed via PLC control. In manual filling systems, the operator monitors the filling of the big-bag and finishes the process by closing the valve pouring material as the bag nears capacity.

In micronized materials that create dust (such as calcite, flour, starch, coal dust, lime, cement, bentonite), it is crucial to evacuate the stagnant air inside the big-bag. This ensures that no dusting occurs during the filling process.
